Jillian Crabtree

Hi, I’m Jillian! I teach at Sugar Me in Greenville, South Carolina, and I’ve been sugaring since 2010. I originally went to esthetics school for facials, but the first time I removed hair, I realized I absolutely loved it. My instructor owned a sugaring studio, so I was introduced to sugaring while I was still in school. Before I even graduated, I was working the front desk at the largest sugaring studio in Seattle, where both owners took me under their wing and trained me every spare minute they could. I grew up with a natural, less-wasteful mindset, so sugaring felt like a perfect fit.

The client relationships and the results have kept me in this work. I love that something as simple as hair removal can help someone feel more comfortable and confident in their skin. After so many years of appointments and conversations, some of my clients truly feel like friends.

Learning with me is hands-on, laid-back, and patient. I keep my classes small and personal so I can watch your technique closely, troubleshoot with you, and give you plenty of time to practice. Ask questions. Make mistakes. That’s how you learn.

I’m big on explaining the why behind what we’re doing. Brazilians, hand technique, and troubleshooting are my strengths, and I especially enjoy helping experienced waxers transition into sugaring. You already understand hair removal, but you’re retraining some familiar instincts. We’ll break down those little changes and work out why something isn’t working, so you know what to adjust.

If you’re nervous, here’s what I want you to remember: you’re not supposed to be good at something you haven’t learned yet! There’s a learning curve, and knowing that takes some of the pressure off. My job is to meet you where you are and give you the tools to keep practicing with confidence. You don’t have to be perfect before you begin.

My classes are taught in English. Outside the studio, I’m a mom and business owner who almost always has a project going. I love crafting, DIY, and pretty much anything outdoors. I’d rather be making, building, fixing, or learning something than sitting still!
