Hi, I’m Nailea! I’m a Bay Area girl with a deep passion for skincare. After years of waxing myself and friends since and working in jobs that didn’t fulfill me, I decided to pursue what I truly love. I became a licensed esthetician and haven’t looked back since.

I started my professional journey in 2019 when I joined True Sugaring & Skincare in Walnut Creek. Sugaring quickly became more than just a job, it became my calling. I genuinely love the transformation in a good before-and-after, the satisfaction of clearing ingrowns, and most of all, the meaningful connections I make with my clients.

Hi, I’m Elizabeth! I discovered sugaring at the ICES trade show on a field trip with my esthetics school. We stopped at a sugaring booth, and that was my first introduction. Before finding my niche, I offered lash lifts and facials. My own experience with sensitive skin and hair removal is what made sugaring personal for me. Once I found something that worked well for my skin, I wanted to share that experience with other people.

My favorite part of being a sugarist is building my business through education. I love explaining the service to clients, then seeing them connect what we’ve talked about with their own results. Helping someone understand their experience is really rewarding.

I’m an education-focused, hands-on instructor. I’ll demonstrate, let you try, and then work with you individually. You can explain a technique all day, but sometimes you have to get in there and practice to understand it. I want you to know why we do things a certain way.

Watching closely and finding the small adjustment is one of my strengths. Your hand placement, pressure, angle, skin tension, or body position can change how the sugar works. I love helping students notice those details and understand what to do differently.

If you’re nervous, that’s completely normal. Confidence comes with practice, and you can’t perfect a skill you’re afraid to practice. There’s room here to ask questions, make mistakes, get stuck, and try again. Every attempt gives you something to learn from.

I believe there’s room for everyone in this industry, and I’m definitely not a gatekeeping educator. If I learn something that can help you, I want you to know it, too! I take education seriously, and I want class to feel comfortable, fun, and like a place where you can ask me anything.

Hi, I’m Raunette! I’m a San Diego esthetician, educator, and mentor with 27 years in the industry. I was introduced to sugaring in 2003 while working at a resort spa. Our new spa director told us she was taking wax out of the treatment rooms, and that we’d need to learn sugaring if we wanted to keep offering hair removal. None of us had even heard of it!

I’d been doing waxing and facials for three years. Trying sugaring on my own sensitive skin is what made me fall in love with it. What has kept me here is my clients. Some have followed me around San Diego for decades, and now I sugar their daughters and even some of their granddaughters. Monthly appointments and conversations can turn into something that feels like family.

Learning with me includes posture, a functional room setup, and bedside manner as well as technique. Advanced sugaring is a favorite of mine, especially female and male Brazilians. I want to help you find the services that make your work feel gratifying.

Students tell me my voice and tone are calming. In 20 years as an educator and mentor, I’ve learned that everyone absorbs information differently. Some people want to read it, some need to hear it, and some pick it up quickly by doing it. I keep my directions simple and pay attention to the person in front of me.

Being nervous is normal. Anything worth learning can feel hard in the beginning. I’ll point out your good flicks, the right pressure, and the moments when your posture comes together, so you can see your progress as we go. The things we say to ourselves matter, too.

Bring your business questions. I’ve been an employee, rented rooms in salons and a medical spa, spent seven years in a resort spa, and owned a spa with four treatment rooms for a decade. If I can help you avoid a hard lesson I learned along the way, I’m winning. I may know some things!

Beyond sugaring, my practice includes facials, energy work, and mentorship. I’m double Reiki certified and enjoy incorporating breathwork and affirmations into my facial work. Away from the studio, I’m a mama of four sons and two dogs, a beach and festival lover, and a lifelong multitasker. I grew up with three brothers and played soccer for 15 years. I work hard, and I do what I say.

Hi, I’m Amanda! I started sugaring in esthetics school in 2016, and my first esthetician job was at a sugaring spa. I spent five years there developing my skills before opening my own spa, with a fiercely loyal group of clients who came along with me. I’m still so grateful for them.

Before sugaring, I focused on acne facials. I loved that sugaring was a relatively quick service with low overhead and clients rebooking every four weeks. It brought more consistency to my income. But my favorite part will always be the CLIENTS. I’ve been there for dating stories, weddings, and becoming parents. Being someone they trust with those conversations has helped me grow as a person, too.

Brazilians are my favorite service. I know that feeling of dread walking into an appointment as a client, and the confidence you can walk out with afterward. I love helping someone else create that experience.

I’ve taught with Sweet & True for seven years, and students often tell me I have a very zen presence. Early in class, I pay attention to how you process information and what your body language is telling me. You may need me right beside you, or you may need space to try it while I watch from across the room. Sometimes a quick break and a calmer mind make all the difference.

Building your confidence is a big part of my teaching. I’ll tell you what’s going well, give you something specific to adjust on the next strip, and remind you how far you’ve come. Watching a student finish the last strip of a Brazilian and turn to smile at me with that golden, fuzzy ball of sugar in their hand makes me feel like a proud parent. YOU DID IT!

Outside class, my English bull terrier, Stella, is the center of my universe. She’s a clown in a dog’s body. Feeding people is my love language, so I’ll probably offer you snacks on our breaks. I can’t help it. It feeds my soul.

Hi, I’m Dasha! I’ve been an esthetician for almost 15 years, and I’m building The Flawless Collective in downtown Pittsburg, California. Before sugaring, I waxed full time. My first introduction was in 2014, with coworkers practicing on me. It wasn’t a great experience, and I wasn’t in a hurry to offer it myself.

Then I kept hearing from clients who loved their sugaring results. By the end of 2017, I decided I didn’t want to keep missing out because I hadn’t learned the skill. I came around, and I’m glad I did!

My favorite thing about sugaring is the RESULTS. Even after all these years, I get excited watching clients’ progress through regular appointments and home care. I love having another approach to offer alongside waxing, especially when someone is looking for something different.

Class with me is fun, encouraging, and supportive. You’ve already put enough pressure on yourself by deciding to learn something new and take it seriously. I’ll highlight your wins as we go, so you can recognize when you’re getting it right and feel more confident with your clients.

Hi, I’m Kim! I own Glowmour Beauty Medispa in Tampa, Florida, and I’ve been sugaring for five years. Skincare was my focus before sugaring. Client requests first got my attention, but becoming a sugaring client myself is what hooked me. I loved the results and wanted to learn the skill for my own business.

One of my favorite things is introducing clients to sugaring and watching them fall in love with it, too. It’s a small community, and I love being part of it.

Hi, I’m Kira! I teach at Spicy Honey in Wellington, Florida, and I’ve been sugaring for three years. When I graduated from cosmetology school in 2022, I wanted to do facials. My mom found a sugaring job down the street and said, “It’s a job, it’s close, so try it and see.” I wasn’t convinced, but I gave it a chance. I stayed for almost a year and fell in love with the connections I made and helping people feel like their best selves.

I love a good Brazilian. I’m passionate about women’s health and body education, and I care about making room for the questions clients may feel uncomfortable asking. It’s an intimate service, and helping someone feel comfortable and cared for is a big part of the work.

I’m a hands-on learner, and that’s how I love to teach. My classes are in English, with lots of tips, practice, and fun. This is a messy, weird, funny job sometimes! I want learning it to feel exciting.

Confidence and getting unstuck are two things I especially enjoy helping students with. Your client can feel when you’re unsure, and knowing how to handle a sticky moment helps you stay calm. Getting stuck happens to everyone, so we’ll work on what to do when it happens to you.

Loren’s career spans various healthcare roles, from working the front desk at a hematology and oncology clinic to analyzing data for computational genomics studies. Her passion for enhancing others well-being and her personal experience with skin sensitivities led her to pursue esthetics. Loren is a Licensed Esthetician in Illinois with additional holistic, integrative, multicultural skin, oncology, laser, and sugar hair removal certifications. She is also a Certified Energy Worker, Certified Sound Healing Therapist, Certified Pelvic Floor Integration Facilitator, and is enrolled in a foundational herbalism certification program. She worked in a medical spa for nearly a decade integrating both standard medical and holistic clinical treatments and is now the owner of Lo Naturals Holistic Wellness & Beauty and a Sweet & True Educator and Brand Ambassador.

Loren’s uniquely diverse career and background of knowledge has given her an appreciation for attention to details and developing individualized healing journey plans which she’s been able to apply in creating holistic, customized treatments for skin care, sugar hair removal, and wellness that blend science, energy, and spirituality. Her approach incorporates the use of herbal based, organic products with bioavailable ingredients, lymphatic drainage, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic techniques, as well as other modality combinations when possible to increase treatment effectiveness. She focuses on both products and treatments that optimize the body’s innate healing abilities. Whether through providing services or educating clients and other professionals, she aims to make healing and self-confidence more accessible to others.

When Loren isn’t in the treatment room and educating, she is listening to music, dancing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Hi Im Laela!! A passionate esthetician with a flair for all things natural and beautiful. With my signature curly hair and warm smile, I specialize in holistic skincare, blending ancient techniques with herbal remedies. As an aspiring herbalist, I’m dedicated to exploring the healing power of plants to enhance wellness and beauty. When I’m not in the treatment room, you can find me foraging for herbs or experimenting with holistic skincare. My mission is to empower others to embrace their natural beauty through the art of self-care and self-love.

Hi, I’m Aleah! I’m an Advanced Esthetician and the owner of The Skin Connoisseur in Akron, Ohio. Before esthetics, I worked as a banker. I was already getting sugared, but an appointment meant driving about 40 minutes because there were so few options nearby. When I became licensed in 2019, sugaring was the first service I wanted to focus on. It became something my clients loved, and now it’s what I’m known for. I love that for me.

I’m a girls’ girl. I care about finding services that fit my clients and helping them feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. Some women have shared how self-conscious they felt about their intimate areas, even with their partners. Watching their skin and their comfort with themselves change over time has been one of the most meaningful parts of my work.

Class with me is upbeat, fun, casual, and very hands-on. I like structure, with room to move at the students’ pace. I can explain something a thousand times, but it often makes much more sense once you get to do it yourself.

I teach several ways to get unstuck, but helping students build confidence is my strongest point. For about my first year and a half, I could perform the service and still get overwhelmed by a new client, a lot of hair, or an unfamiliar situation. I remember the things I wish someone had taught me then.

That’s why I pay attention to your mindset and frustration level while you practice. When you start to feel overwhelmed, I’ll help you slow down, stay calm, and work through it. Getting stuck doesn’t mean you can’t do it. Confidence comes from doing the work and realizing you’re more capable than you thought.

I’m a licensed esthetician, sugaring educator, and founder of SugarBang Sugaring. I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 25 years and have spent the last 12+ years specializing in sugaring.

I’m passionate about making sugaring feel approachable, practical, and fun. My teaching style is hands-on, patient, and upbeat, with a big focus on breaking techniques down so they actually make sense. Hi, I’m Jillian! I teach at Sugar Me in Greenville, South Carolina, and I’ve been sugaring since 2010. I originally went to esthetics school for facials, but the first time I removed hair, I realized I absolutely loved it. My instructor owned a sugaring studio, so I was introduced to sugaring while I was still in school. Before I even graduated, I was working the front desk at the largest sugaring studio in Seattle, where both owners took me under their wing and trained me every spare minute they could. I grew up with a natural, less-wasteful mindset, so sugaring felt like a perfect fit.

The client relationships and the results have kept me in this work. I love that something as simple as hair removal can help someone feel more comfortable and confident in their skin. After so many years of appointments and conversations, some of my clients truly feel like friends.

Learning with me is hands-on, laid-back, and patient. I keep my classes small and personal so I can watch your technique closely, troubleshoot with you, and give you plenty of time to practice. Ask questions. Make mistakes. That’s how you learn.

About a year later, I asked if I could watch her sugar to see whether it was something I might want to do. She welcomed me in, and that’s where it really started to take shape. I went on to take a formal class, and sugaring soon became my whole life.

Hi, I’m Alexis! I’ve been sugaring for five years, and I’m the type of person who needs a little laughter to get through the day. Before esthetics, I worked in retail management at Bed Bath & Beyond. When the fun had gone out of the work, I took a leap and enrolled at Montana Skin Academy. A sugaring class there introduced me to the career I love now.

You know when someone asks, “Working hard or hardly working?” In my old job, I always felt like I had to be sprinting everywhere and somehow appear in three places at once to earn my paycheck. Now, most days feel like hanging out with friends, telling stories, and somehow making a living while enjoying it. Creating that environment for myself has meant so much to me.
